About This Meeting

We're a peer-led meeting rooted in the Recovery Dharma program — a Buddhist-inspired, non-theistic path to recovery from the suffering of addiction of any kind. No prior meditation experience is needed. All are welcome.

Open Meeting All Addictions Meditation Included No Religious Affiliation

What to Expect

Meetings run about 70–90 minutes. You're welcome to arrive a few minutes early to get settled. There's no requirement to share — the silence between shares is as important to the discussion as the shares themselves.

Each meeting begins with a short (20 minute) silent sitting meditation, followed by either:

  • reading / discussion from a passage in the Recovery Dharma book, or
  • listening to a speaker share about their experience applying the dharma to their recovery.

First time? Just show up. You don't need to know anything about Buddhism or meditation. Bring yourself exactly as you are.

Resources

The Recovery Dharma book is available as a free PDF from the Recovery Dharma website, or as a print edition. We have copies at the meeting and sell them at cost ($7) if you'd like one to take home.

Additional handouts and reading materials are available on our resources page.
